Ängbacken Hantverk is a small design/woodworking business driven by James Young.
James is an Australian that has been living in Sweden since 2023.

With Ängbacken Hantverk James hopes to design and produce beautiful, unique and well crafted gifts and homewares using natural materials. Everything produced by Ängbacken Hantverk is made by James in small batches in the workshop at Wiksfors Bruk.

James is a qualified carpenter, amateur woodworker and has a bachelor's degree in architecture. He has extensive experience in architectural design and construction, as well as general product design and development. With this skillset and experience James is able to develop an idea through 2D drawings, 3D modelling and finally into a physical item that hopefully is beautiful and unique in some way.

Ängbacken Hantverk uses a small CNC mill for engraving items that James built himself, otherwise all products are made using traditional woodworking tools and machinery.
